Sunset Ave Salt Lake City Home Staging Project

Staging a home from awkward to charming.

This vacant home built in the 1950s had been remodeled and expanded in the ’1970s and then again in the 1990s. It felt sad and awkward to walk through before it was staged! Our team carefully created a design plan that would be perfect for this unusual home. We brought in some trendy mid-century modern furniture to match the home’s 1950s feel and to update it at the same time.

This was a home that would most likely be renovated by the new owners, but staging it showed its potential. This helped the real estate agent to avoid low ball offers that are usually offered for a “fixer-upper.” Potential buyers often struggle to see past awkward spaces, needed repairs, or outdated fixtures so staging makes all the difference! This home sold quickly for over the asking price so the seller and real estate agent were indeed thrilled!
