Keep It Clean

Organization is important. We are surrounded by stores and easy access to “stuff” that we don’t need. One way to make your home stand out to friends and family is by keeping it clean. Keep your closets and cupboards organized. Sweep and vacuum. Keep your books in straight piles or on shelves. Don’t let the clutter overtake your home. 

It’s simple, but easily gets out of hand! Stay on top of it. 

Keep It Green

With online school and work, we are inside all of the time. We get so wrapped up in the distractions of the world that we forget to make time to go outside and enjoy nature. That’s why it is important to bring nature to you. 

Keep houseplants! These plants help to brighten any room. They do need sun so don’t deprive them of that, but let them freshen up your air and give you some green energy. If you know you won’t be able to keep your plant alive, that’s okay! Get fake plants and they still bring their liveliness and green energy to any room they abide in. 

Keep It Practical

There are cute decorations sold at nearly any store we walk into. Though they may be adorable they usually are not the most practical. Oftentimes these decorations and gadgets end up, simply, taking up room on the countertop or in a closet. 

Think through your purchases and make sure they are worth your money. Don’t clutter your home with things that are unnecessary. Buy gadgets and gifts that are useful. Purchase decorations that are purposeful. Always have an exact place that you will be putting a decoration in mind before you buy it!

Keep It Unique

Be creative in your decorations! Let them bring personality to your home. It is always fun to have conversation starters in unique areas. They add character and interest as friends and family come visit. 

Have an intriguing room design and keep that family relic. As a homeowner, make your home an extension of your personality. Bring it to life in the colors and patterns you chose. Let your home speak for itself!
