Christmas Season is here and we are thrilled about it! Every year it seems like we want to add a “little something” to our decorations. However, it’s always hard to put our finger on what that “something” is.
As you decorate this year add the “little something” using these 3 tips:
#1 Let the Glimmer Shine
It’s easy to underestimate the amount of lights necessary to stand out. Go ahead, buy another string or two and you will be surprised by the difference in and outside your home. No more barely stretching to the next plug. Reach all the way with ease.
Not only will it be brighter, but you will also see an extra bright shine in children, friends, and family members’ eyes as they enter your home.
#2 Snow Fall
It’s easy to get wrapped up in the tissue paper and ribbon of the season. Instead, slow down and hear the snow fall. Decorate with handmade ornaments and decor!
Set aside an evening to spend with your kids, significant other, or friends. Watch video tutorials on how to make beautiful paper snowflakes and ornaments. Turn on a Christmas movie and then begin! Hang the finished masterpieces on your door, windows, the christmas tree, the oven door, the fridge, in the hallway, from the ceiling… truly the opportunities are endless and the fun, excitement, and authentic beauty is sublime.
Believe me, it is possible. Our home’s paper snowflakes are always our most commented on decoration.
#3 The Finishing Touch
Though it is not a decoration, it is the key to a lovely and well decorated home. Make cookies!
A home isn’t greeting the season unless it has the fresh smell of baked christmas cookies. They will bring the holiday spirit and your friends and family who visit will feel the inviting holiday spirit as they enter your home. Just add the touch of sprinkles and frosting and everyone will be merry and bright all season long.
